بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
هُوَ ٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍۚ
It is He Who has chosen you, and laid upon you no hardship in the religion.
(Quran, 22:78)
My whole life I have believed that worshiping Allah was the most difficult thing.
When I shorten or delay my salah, it is because I want to run to dunya matters, which I always thought were easier to handle than matters of the aakhirah.
By His will and mercy, I have understood that the easiest thing is worship, for whom Allah SWT makes it easy for. The process is simple and well defined: call upon Him, He is near; thank Him, He gives you more; read and apply His book, He elevates you in status; pray to Him, He answers; give for His sake, He rewards you for it.
When it comes to issues of the dunya however: relating with people, dealing with schoolwork, making life changing decisions, raising a family, pleasing people, even cooking, there’s no clear cut simple well defined process and outcome. You have no idea what the consequence will be— you can only make informed guesses, which more often than not, are wrong.
The slave guided by Allah to have tawakkul is the winner here.
Every affair of the dunya seems like a twisted maze whose end is nowhere in sight. You just walk through it blindly hoping to somehow find your way to an exit. The affairs of the aakhirah however, seem like walking down a corridor— clear, defined, peaceful.
When put in challenging situations that induce anxiety, the only thing that makes it bearable and keeps you grounded is engaging in acts of worship.
How silly of us then, to run from salah to fixate on events that we have absolutely no control over?
السلام عليكم
That’s an absolutely powerful way to view isalm
Bless up dear, more Allah's light to your way.🤲
